Description
CoolSculpting offers a revolutionary method of reducing unwanted fat deposits through cryolipolysis. This non-invasive treatment aims to eliminate fat cells through controlled cooling without the need for surgery.
Safety of the treatment
CoolSculpting technology enables precisely controlled cooling of the fat cells under the skin without affecting the skin itself. No needles are used and there is usually minimal downtime after treatment. CoolSculpting is available in over 60 countries and to date over 11 million treatment cycles have been performed worldwide
Trust in the attending physician
CoolSculpting specialists are regularly trained and we continuously support clinics in ensuring high standards of care – for your satisfaction.
Product safety
CoolSculpting systems are cold therapy devices with built-in safety devices. They switch off automatically if the sensors detect that the skin in one area is getting too cold.
What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive cryolipolysis treatment that reduces targeted fat cells through cooling to improve body contour without surgery or downtime.
Treatment procedure:
The treatment process includes an initial consultation to determine the appropriate treatment areas, followed by the application of the CoolSculpting device, which cools the targeted fat cells. The session lasts approximately 35 minutes per area while the patient can relax.
How does CoolSculpting work?
CoolSculpting uses controlled cooling to crystallize fat cells under the skin, which are then naturally broken down by the body, resulting in a visible reduction in fat volume.
Highlights
Cryolipolysis™ technology is at the heart of CoolSculpting. It specifically cools fat cells to a temperature at which they crystallize and are naturally broken down by the body without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Operating principle & technology
During a CoolSculpting treatment, a special device is applied to the target area. This device gently and effectively cools the fat cells under the skin. The process is typically painless and allows patients to relax or read.
STEP 1
CoolSculpting® is a non-surgical treatment that uses a controlled cooling technique (-11°C) to precisely target fat cells in the selected area.
STEP 2
This permanently destroys the treated fat cells without affecting the surrounding area.
STEP 3
Over time, your body naturally processes and removes the dead fat cells.
STEP 4
The dead fat cells are removed from your body for good!
Results
Many users report visible results after just one treatment, with the final effects occurring within two to six months once the body has eliminated the treated fat cells.
- There are 52 peer-reviewed publications on the scientific basis and results of CoolSculpting®.
- Proven effectiveness in different treatment regions
- Six months after treatment, reductions in the fat layer of up to 27% have been demonstrated in various areas of the body
- The final result is visible after approx. 3 months
- In a long-term study with two patients, the fat reduction in both patients was still visible six and nine years after treatment

* Prospective, nonrandomised, single-arm, open-label, multicountry, postmarketing study. Patients aged 22 to 65 with a BMI of 18.5 to 30 received CoolSculpting® treatments on their abdomen and/or flanks in an outpatient clinical setting (N=112). Patients could receive up to 2 treatment sessions 8 weeks apart. 96.2% (102/106) of patients were treated with 2 sessions on the abdomen and/or flanks. The primary objective was to evaluate overall patient satisfaction for non-invasive fat reduction with CoolSculpting®. Change in fat volume (mL) was a secondary endpoint measured by 3D image analysis. Final follow-up was conducted approximately 12 weeks after the participant’s final treatment, at Week 12 for patients receiving 1 treatment session or at Week 20 for patients receiving 2 treatment sessions. Treatments were performed using the legacy CoolSculpting® system.
